Learn How to Manifest - Magical Morning Tips
2 weeks ago I shared with you my 5 best non-fiction book to read in 2025. One of the books is The Magical Morning from Hal Elrod’s. Part of his Miracle Morning routine, affirmations are used to inspire positive change and work purposefully on personal growth. I found his way of defining affirmations incredibly clear and useful, so I wanted to share them with you.
Here are the key techniques recommended in the book for effectively crafting affirmations:
Make Your Affirmations Specific and Detailed
Rather than general statements, Elrod encourages readers to make affirmations specific and detailed. This makes the affirmations more relevant to their goals and circumstances. For example, instead of “I am successful,” you would say, “I am a successful entrepreneur and create valuable products that help my clients every month.”
Present Tense Affirmations
Affirmations are stated in the present tense, as if the desired outcome has already been achieved. This helps “program” the brain to accept the affirmation as truth and move in that direction. For example, “I am healthy and energetic” instead of “I will become healthy and energetic.”
Use Positive Words while Making your Affirmation
Positive language helps you focus on what you want to achieve, rather than what you want to avoid. Negative words are avoided. Instead of saying "I don't want to be stressed anymore," you would say, "I experience inner peace and calm."
Link to Emotional Reasons (Motivation) to you Manifestation
Elrod emphasizes the importance of connecting affirmations to strong, personal motivations. Understanding the *why* behind your goals strengthens the emotional connection to the affirmation and makes it easier to internalize the affirmation. For example: "I work hard on my health because I want to have the energy to spend quality time with my family."
Regular Reapete and Visualize Your Affirmation
The power of affirmations also lies in repetition. Repeating them daily helps to anchor the affirmation in the subconscious. This is often combined with visualization, where you imagine the outcome of your affirmation. This makes the affirmation more realistic and concrete.
Affirmations Reframed as Actionable
To make affirmations more purposeful, they are sometimes formulated as action steps. Instead of just saying, "I am successful," you can say, "I work on my projects with focus and purpose every day." In this way, Elrod links affirmations to daily actions, which motivates you to take active steps toward your goal.
These techniques help make affirmations in Magical Morning powerful and effective, promoting a positive mindset focused on personal growth and achievement. You can also let yourself supprise with some daily affirmations by intelligent change.
I personally read my affirmation each day (i have them in 'notes' om my phone) after my short 5-minute-meditation Want to learn more about meditation, read the blog on how meditation works.
